This morning, on September 9 at 5:45 AM, an earthquake struck Tashkent. According to the Republican Seismic Prognostic Monitoring Center, the epicenter was in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers with a magnitude of 3.6. The distance from the epicenter to the center of Tashkent was about 10 kilometers in a northeastern direction.
The strength of the tremors was recorded at 2 points in several districts of the capital:
- Mirzo-Ulugbek district: 2 points
- Mirabad district: 2 points, 5 km away
- Shaykhantakhur district: 2 points, 6 km away
- Yashnabad district: 2 points, 6 km away
- Almazar district: 2 points, 7 km away
- Yakkasaray district: 2 points, 7 km away
- Chilanzar district: 2 points, 9 km away
