In the near future, Uzbekistan and China will significantly increase the number of flights between the cities of the two countries. Under the agreements, four Uzbek airlines have been granted the right to operate 58 regular passenger flights per week to 12 Chinese cities from the international airports of Tashkent and Samarkand. Currently, Uzbek carriers are working on meeting the certification requirements of the Chinese side.

Recently, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan with representatives of one of the largest Chinese airlines, China Southern Airlines. The main topic of discussion was the increase in the number of flights between Uzbekistan and China, as well as the expansion of flight destinations.

As a result of the negotiations, it was agreed to increase the weekly flights of China Southern Airlines on the Beijing-Tashkent route from 4 to 7, and on the Urumqi-Tashkent route from 3 to 4. Additionally, starting in 2025, three new flights per week will be launched on the Guangzhou-Urumqi-Tashkent route.

Furthermore, Uzbek airlines Qanot Sharq, Centrum Air, and Air Samarkand are actively preparing to meet the certification requirements of the CCAR-129 of the Chinese Aviation Administration in order to begin regular flights to China.

Currently, a total of 9 airlines operate between Uzbekistan and China, performing a total of 63 regular flights per week on 16 routes. Of these, 21 flights are for passenger transportation, while 42 are for cargo transportation.

Thus, the increase in the number of flights and routes will strengthen ties between the two countries and develop transportation infrastructure, opening up new opportunities for business, tourism, and international cooperation.
